Woohoo, I am currently working…can’t believe it rite???
I had begun looking for jobs before the last day of my exam. Yet until my birthday, I still can’t get a job. In the end, I decided to go to another agent again. This time round, I am super lucky lor. The agent was very efficient; get me my current job within 2 days. So on Thursday (17/04), I went for the interview.
This was already my fourth interview. I didn’t expect the company to employ me anyway, because the interview only lasts for 6 minutes. But to my surprise, the company employ me...haha. Anyway got to thank my ITP…because it is what I had learnt from my ITP that got me this job.
So on Monday (21/04), I reported to work. Initially, I was supposed to work as temp admin assistant. But it turned out that I am working as temp HR. And they employed another guy to do the temp admin work.
I love the working environment, but the traveling time is very long and a trip costs me S$2.02…very expensive sia. However, after 3 days of work, I then realized that there is actually a direct bus to my working place and a trip only costs me S$1.39. So I changed to take the direct bus to work. But from tomorrow onward, I will take the train to HarbourFront Centre and board the shuttle bus near the Singapore Cruise Centre to my working place. Because I bought the train concession which starts tomorrow, so it will be a waste if I don’t use it…haha. I worked in one of the public sector, quite near to the HarbourFront centre.
First day of work is very boring, because my login account was not ready, so I can’t do anything. But in the next few days, there are a few tasks for me to do. I have to use Excel to complete two assignments and it is very tough because I need to design with the programs myself. Though it is quite tired (because of the “programming” that I need to do), I had learnt how to create list and also how to use vlookup all on my own (had to be independent especially during working, can’t always rely on others!). There are still a lot more for me to learn in the coming weeks…learning is a never-ending process!!!
This week going to learn the recruitment process.
