Also selling bags, wallets, belts et ectera by other brands such as Burberry (My favorite), Luis Vuitton, Gucci.)

1030am: Third stop – Go Kart (Very fun, drive at damn fast speed till my seat belt unfasten, I had no idea! No wonder most of the time, I almost going to get off the kart when I accelerate too fast! Also my arms and shirt get dirts because the floor was wet and the water splashed onto my arms and shirt! Good way to get away from all the emo! Cost: Rp100000)

1115am: Fourth stop – Paintball Shooting and Flying Fox (I tried the flying fox. Initially I was a bit scared, wanted to withdraw, the height was around 20m. However after sliding down, it was not challenging at all! Cost: Rp45000)

First Factory Outlet sells many different kind of shirt, short, dress. Love one dress which caught my eye, wanted to buy but didn’t because didn’t know the brand stated on the dress: Pierre Cardin is real or fake?)
1505pm: Eleventh stop - Batam City Square (Left to explore on our own. So I went round looking for gifts; not forgetting to get a pooh bear for sister and Hershey chocolates for sister-in-law. To my disappointment, the shopping center didn’t sell souvenir! :O However I did get something back for friends and colleague - Gen X favorite is lots of sweetssss+chocolates! I had Japanese food as my dinner, not so good but very cheap, the sushi mix costs only Rp25000 and I fall in love with the chocolate mint ice blended which costs only Rp10000! Of course, ice cream lover never fail to try the ice cream, especially when in foreign countries! Tried a normal one which cost around Rp3000 only and the second can be found in Singapore – BR, get a 2 scoops regular ice cream, the scoops were very huge and it melt very fast before I can finished. Quite reasonable price; costs only Rp48000.)

What is leftover?
Learnt a lot from this trip:
1. I finally get out of this red dot, went exploring other countries and to chill myself out after tests.
2. Safety is very important, especially the traffic. Didn’t know how to cross the street to get to First Factory Outlet because the vehicles keep coming and in the end, have to take risk! Also have to beware of pickpockets.
3. Money/Finance. I am quite lazy to mentally convert the rupiah into Singapore dollar, so I bring along with me calculator. But I was too lazy to use it, so I bought stuff without comparing how much will it cost if buy from Singapore such as the pooh bear that I bought for sister. But one thing to note is not to get cheated when buying stuffs from the shopping mall when price tag is not stated. This second they can tell you this item is selling at this amount, the next second ask them again and they tell you is another amount!
4. Languages. Having difficulty communicating with the people when looking for souvenir and ordering food. Not every of them understand English, not even when you spelled for them!
5. Education + Stress. The education in Indonesia is quite relaxing, the kids are not as stress as Singapore kids. Primary 1 to 2 only need to study for 2 hours, Primary 3 to 4 only study for 4 hours from Monday to Saturday. They went to school on Saturday to play only! Those who are enrolled in private school will have to study longer hours from 8:30-4:00pm, the school fee is a lot higher than those in government school where they get foreign teachers and the last 1.5hours are for the kids to ask questions related to schoolwork, to clear any doubts they have. While in Singapore, kids have to study from 7:30-1:45pm and their stress level are a lot more compared to Indonesian kids. No wonder the fertility rate in Singapore keep falling whereas the fertility rate in Indonesia keep rising!
6. Fortunate to be born in Singapore? Get to see 3 kids being beggars, they asked the drivers on the road for money. :O After they get the money, they have to hand over this money to their parents according to Anthony. Isn’t Singapore kids very fortunate compared to them? Very hardly will get to see Singapore kids begging for money, they either parent give them or they take up part-time job so as to buy whatever they want.
7. Independent. Yes, I can and am an independent and plucky girl! Anyway I went alone to get some peace/silence. LOVE it especially when on the ferry, putting on earpiece and tried not to think, but can’t control. Somehow tears just rolled down! Anyway now back to Singapore, a HAPPIER me, right? Nothing can beat me down and be brave to face the reality/facts!
Overall, quite a fruitful trip and enjoyed taking ferry! So where is the next stop? Went Puala Ubin by boat last year, this year went to Indonesia Batam by ferry, so next? Boat -> Ferry -> Cruise (Not sure where to go!) -> Aeroplane (Taipei+Korea next year?)? Not to forget my dream is to take myself to board one of the SQ planes!
Anyway, back to reality now till September!
Got to get ready notes for Saturday’s volunteering mass briefing and I believe I still know how to lead bah after 5 weeks break! Hopefully everything goes right and last vl's activity for the year? After that see counselor and then will start doing past year papers and get ready for final exam in August. Heard news from lecturer that school term will shorten by one week and exam will shift forward by one week because of the malay having their new year?
Have proper planning for the remaining three saturdays for this month; next week got to lead the hm which I signed up 2 months ago, then meet friend! The week after will go see dentist in the morning, already made my appointment at wisma atria. Then meet up with my best poly friend after almost a year at CA! The last saturday maybe maybe go silra home in the morning, have a chat with ps uncle once every 3 months visit, then go play with dogs. After that I will go into hiding for 8 weeks!Tried to keep myself as busy as possible!
